- I can handle setbacks in relationship with in-laws, job change, investment loss, health condition, ...
- I am a survivor. Life is not easy. Life is often a struggle ... for survival. I'm experienced in the struggle.
- I'm also a risk taker. I handled the ensuing setbacks ...
- My primary laptop (Satellite) is giving me frequent browser crashes but I didn't give up and throw it out. I work with various solutions.
- My bathroom renovation was seriously delayed, and the contractor couldn't give refund. I was deeply frustrated but I didn't give up. I devised plans.

Failures, setbacks can make us stronger.

Those tough times --
* GS team members are too strong, but I worked my way up to their level.
* after GS chat in mid 2009. I went to Kansas city.
* after GS review end of 2009 -- i remained calm and focused.
* i wanted to quit US and return to SG and stay home looking for job, with baby boy ..., but I didn't do that. Instead I kept working...
* remote job search for SG, with no response -- I kept working the recruiters by phone.
* after meimei birth, i studied 30/40 hours a week, and had conflicts with in-laws -- I was able to focus on my studies.

I no longer see a lot of income growth via professional learning, so now I should shift focus to parenting. There can be lots of pain, joy, struggles, defeats, adjustments, triumph..,

As I lose hope of a quant career switch, I'm still learning something new in the U@C program. Might open up new opportunities.

As I (temporarily) gave up on the US, i'm now open to HK.
